SKG Services, the Australian-owned family business delivering commercial cleaning, maintenance, and security services nationwide, today announced the appointment of Mr Prabin Shrestha as Group Chief Executive Officer.

Mr Prabin, who has been Group Chief Operating Officer for the past 5 years, succeeds Mr Niko Mavro who moves into the role of Chair of the Board of SKG Holdings. The change is effective immediately and reflects the Company’s continued focus on growth, expansion and business development.

Mr George Manoussakis, Managing Director of SKG Services said importantly, a Company like SKG Services has grown significantly in its 50 year history and is now looking to invest in the next phase of its development by promoting exceptional talent within the organisation.

“The new Group CEO brings experience and skills, and is well positioned to take the business from its current position to a new projected and exciting phase over the next decade. One of the targets is to acquire more companies and extend our tendering opportunities as part of our expansion plans,” he said.

Mr Prabin joined SKG 30 years ago as a part-time cleaner and at the time was studying Accounting and Finance at university. Since then, he transitioned into different fields within the Company before stepping into the Group COO role in 2021. The COO position has been merged into the Group CEO role. In this new role, Mr Prabin, 49, now leads a business valued at over $250 million, which is involved in cleaning, security and maintenance services across Australia.

He said my elevation to the new role is humbling and hopefully my involvement over the years in the Company has given me the background to take SKG to another level, especially as we have invested heavily in technology, systems and processes that rival large and publicly listed companies. “We have a team of exceptional leaders across the business who share similar aspirations to drive SKG to new levels across its service offering,” he said.

I was born in Nepal and this new challenge will be my climbing of Everest.
